Catwalk Edition 5 -Editor-in-Chief

I am proud to say that Catwalk has been a part of my life since its inception, and I have loved watching what began as an idea shared among a small group of passionate students grow into a publication defined by creativity, ambition, and perspective.
I stepped into this role during a particularly hectic time in my life. With team members coming and going, working my Master’s degree in Marketing, designing a collection for U of A fashion week, while balancing a part-time job and an internship, Catwalk became more than just a publication, it became a constant presence in my life. Catwalk became a space to think critically, create intentionally, and collaborate with people who continue to inspire me. In many ways, this edition reflects that moment: one of growth, pressure, and clarity.
The stories within these pages explore fashion through its connection to place and time. This issue is grounded in the idea that you wear where you are—that style is shaped not only by personal taste, but by the environments, histories, and cultures that surround us. With a particular focus on Tucson, we examine how the city’s character and evolution influence the way identity is expressed through dress.
This issue would not exist without the people behind it. To my team: thank you for your dedication, your ideas, and your willingness to push this publication further despite all the setbacks and the effort it took. To the Trend Fashion Events Board: your support and vision have played an essential role in bringing this issue to life. And to my family and friends: thank you for your constant encouragement and contributions throughout this process.
Five issues in, Catwalk continues to evolve. And while this moment marks both an ending and a beginning for me, I know the publication will continue to grow in ways that are even more dynamic and impactful.
